Terms of Service
The agreement between Legacy Care Africa and the families and visitors we serve.
Welcome to Legacy Care Africa. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website (legacycareafrica.com), our communications, and the services offered by our registered subsidiaries โ Uzazi Wellness Care Limited and Nyumbani Support Solutions Limited. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Legacy Care Africa
Legacy Care Africa Group is a family of care companies headquartered in Kenya, with operating offices in Nairobi (Kenya) and Dallas, Texas (USA). We operate two registered Kenyan care subsidiaries delivering maternal wellness and in-home care services. Each subsidiary signs its own service agreements with the families it serves.
2. Not Medical Advice
The content on this website โ including articles in our Wellness Blog โ is for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not create a clinician-patient relationship. Always consult your physician or qualified clinician for advice specific to your situation. In a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
3. Booking a Consultation
Submitting a consultation request through our website does not automatically create a service contract. After we receive your request, our care team will reach out to discuss your needs and confirm whether one or both of our subsidiaries can serve your family. A formal service agreement โ with detailed scope, schedule, and fees โ will be signed before clinical care begins.
4. Fees & Payment
Service fees are set by each subsidiary and disclosed in writing before care begins. Payment terms, accepted methods, and refund conditions are governed by the individual subsidiary's service agreement. Late payments may result in care suspension as outlined in that agreement.
5. Cancellation & Changes
Cancellation and modification policies are defined in each subsidiary's service agreement. As a general policy, we ask families to provide at least 24 hours' notice for scheduled visit changes, and longer notice for ongoing care arrangements. Emergency cancellations are always honored without penalty.
6. Clinical Standards & Caregiver Conduct
All caregivers, nurses, and doulas working under Legacy Care Africa's subsidiaries are vetted, background-checked, and clinically trained. They are expected to deliver care in accordance with Kenyan health regulations and our internal Code of Conduct. If you observe any conduct that falls below this standard, please report it immediately to info@legacycareafrica.com.
7. Family Responsibilities
To enable safe, effective care, families are asked to:
- Provide accurate medical history and current medication information.
- Maintain a safe home environment for visiting clinical staff.
- Treat our team members with respect and dignity, free from harassment of any kind.
- Communicate openly about any concerns or changes in the patient's condition.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website โ including text, photographs, logos, designs, and the Legacy Care Africa name โ is the property of Legacy Care Africa Group and protected under Kenyan and international copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
9. Third-Party Links
Our website links to external sites (including our subsidiary sites, social media, and informational sources). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third-party sites.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legacy Care Africa Group, its officers, employees, and subsidiaries are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or services. Clinical liability for direct care is governed by the individual subsidiary's service agreement and applicable Kenyan medical law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of our website or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
